DAY 21: "SUBMISSION"

Updated: Jan 4, 2021

Day 21: “Submission” (Taken from 27 Day Newly Wed Challenge) Written by: Shaniqua Farmer

A word that I believe is completely misunderstood. I always have said that I have no issue to submitting to a man who is worthy of me to do so. There is a level of trust, respect, honor and dignity that comes with a woman’s submission, and that submission should be preserved for her husband. There is something delicately strong and beautiful about a woman who is wise enough to submit unto her husband. Everyone plays a role in submission under the hierarchy of Christ. Husbands submit under God, wives under their husbands and children under their parents. Their is a covering and responsibility that comes with someone submitting to you.

Please understand that men have a level of submission to their wives. 1 Peter 3:7 says, “Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” LADIES!!! Heir means a person inheriting and continuing the legacy of their predecessor! Submission does not mean you are beneath, it means you are a graceful silent weapon for your family and home. A husband confides in the wisdom and nurturing spirit of his wife. Allow him to lead and be the face of your family. Remember, the strength is in the operations, behind the scene making the vision come to fruition. Take joy in your submissive covering, it just means you will always be protected, favored and blessed.
